brake upgrade?

is it worth upgrading the brakes on a 1.6 P reg?
who do the best pads/disc combos?

Also i've had the car lowered by 40mm springs for bout a year and am thinking bout changing the shocks, any ideas on whos the best?

red dot 6 groove discs with red dot fast road pads.

Bilstein shocks give a good ride. £150 a set. Don't get cheap adjustables as they are usually ****.
