BRAKE SQUEEL!!!!!!!!

HELP!!!!.......i cannot seem to get rid of the squeeling coming from my brakes!!!....ive been having it ever since i bought the car a year ago.....ive even had new brake bads and discs....but the problem just came back. i thought it was the grit on the roads etc...but it happens still in summer so GOD knows what i can do??......i did have a brand new saxo vtr before and that did it as well!!!...having taken it back to them they just said it was what they make the pads out of these days!!!what a crock of shite!!!)...just wondering if anyone else has this problem and any way of getting rid of it.........its embarrasing!!!!and wakes the neighbours at night!!!!!

the brake pad's need to be taken out and seglazed with rough emery and the back of the pad's need to be smeared with a fine trace of copper slip.

if you are a hard braker then put a fair bit of it on!!

Either they are fitting really crap pads on both cars or you need to look at your braking technique.

Do you tend to slam on the brakes hard at the last moment or are you a start braking a mile in advance type?
