it looks like a circle with two vertical dashes either side, it flickers on and off every so often, the brakes have been changes about 2-3k ago and there is pleanty of life left on them, am i right in thinking maybe the sensor is loose?

if the pads are ok whats the obvious next thing? Check your fluids!!

Could just be the handbrake moving, I got that under acceleration.

You can disconnect the handbrake to eliminate that, if the light stil flickers then most likely as said, will be the fluid level is low

Happened to mine a month or 2 ago, and it ended up needing a new clutch ;)

does it have the word stop underneath?
if so you got a brake light out

nope it just flashes, i checked the brake pad sensor and its fine and i checkled brake lights they are fine

Hi,

This happened on my HGT and it was the slave clutch cylinder failing (the cylinder on the gearbox)

I would check that too see if it is leaking.

I think they should change the name of this light to the "you have a problem but it could be anything" light lol

tell me you have checked the fluid? Its the FIRST thing to do!!!!

fluid is fine!! it all starte4d when i put ig bass through my car i think its wiggles a connection loose some where!

This has started happening to my HGT over the last month, brake warning light just appears on then disappears after a little while.

My clutch slave Cylinder leaked about 6 months ago, so had it replaced then. I have done the logical thing & checked the fluid, but sitting nicely on Max!

Pads all round have plenty of life left on them. But I suppose it could be a faulty sensor or something, but my fear is it is something to do with the clutch.

Its never been replaced & recently it has started making a faint whirling noise when I press the clutch down to change gear. So I am guessing me clutch is on the way out, anybody else think the same?

Phil
