Palio Bore & piston sizes

Hi,have a palio 1.2mpi 2000 model+/- assembled in RSA.It was using oil and misfiring.Removed the head & sump and no 3 piston.the piston still looks good but the ring gaps are excessive.The oil ring is badly gummed up.I tried to get new rings but there seems to be a problem.What are the ring widths 2 x comp 1 x oil. my ones are 1.5 ,2.0,2,5. Thanks. Den

Welcome.

Any decent Fiat dealership can supply you with rings with the correct dimensions.
Have a look at Eper on this forum for the original part numbers.

Thanks,but there are no rings available. Gave them the vin number and got a reply back ,ex overseas,or buy the next o/s pistons as these come with rings.
This is a old model (2000)1.2mpi ,my question is,how long do the agents keep spares for or do we have to go to after market supplies.Agents are for new cars and once they are sold they forget about it.

Generally, spares are available for about 10 years.
Engines is another story, as they are used in many current models, it's no big deal to get spares.
