Technical Boot won't release

Apologies if this has been asked before but a search didn't find my model Panda 319 (2017).

The boot won't open. Neither when the car is unlocked or via the fob.

The door open warning light is also on if that helps narrow down the problem...

How do I get it open to at least clean the micro switch or check for anything untoward?

Is the manual release under this yellow tab?

*Edit. Got the boot open under the yellow tab on the release mechanism.

A bit of googling and the micro switch in the locking mechanism is a common issue.

If the warning light is on and the release will not work that sounds like a wiring fault, not the microswitch. Maybe the wires have broken near the hinge of the tailgate - they bend back and forth each times it’s opened. Or a connecting plug has come loose.
