Whats the best way to open your bonnet if cable snaped

Are you sure it's snapped & a not semi-seized cable which won't return?
If snapped, which end is broken, bonnet or handle as you should be able to pull the inner cable with a vicegrips if it's the handle end.
Anyway, go on UTube, there's loadsa tutorials to show you how to open the latch under the bonnet.

Got bonnet open it was cable it had coroded at the end at the catch so was no pulling it open
