Bonnet Catch insufficent adjustment - more Q's

Evening all,

Cant seem to get the main bonnet catch to work. Ive adjusted it right down and still it appears to be short of the latch. Judging by how rusty the latch is look like this has never worked, or hasnt worked in along time. Ive just bought the car. Anyone else seen this, i was thinginking of just spacing down the the plate the catch is on to give it abit more distance?

Also the interoir light doesnt work with the doors which is a bit annoying on a new to me car ,cos i cant find anything. Is this a common fault, wop electrics and all??

Cant see any reference to a workshop manual or microfiches. Can anyone help there?

hi, i've got a y plate 1.2 brava & i've got the same problem with the lights, i tried to fix it but it still does not work. i think it is a common problem though.

On the slam panel, make sure that the spring that pulls the retaining latch closed is still ok. That's the usual fault.

You can get a Haynes or a Porter's manual from Halfords, or you could try Ebay.
