Technical Bonnet cable snapped

I have snapped the cable at the front of my bonnet and cannot open it.

I have looked at previous threads and it seems that there is a method and pics of how to do this ,
I have made a donation as I believe this is required to view the , can someone please help as I have made a terrible mess of the bonnet trying to get in, My battery is dead so I cannot drive it until i can gain access.

Can't help I'm afraid - but ask a local mobile mechanic if you're struggling. I snapped mine on the Alfa when I stopped to put screen wash in. Took it to the dealer who wanted two hours labour.

Asked the mobile mechanic. He had never seen the inside of the bonnet before so told me it might take him a bit to work it out. It took him four minutes.

I wrote to the dealer to ask why they quoted two hours, given they see the inside of these bonnets all day every day, and were at the time employing the 'Alfa technician of the year'. Their reply wasn't exactly apologetic.

Anyway - I digress. If you can't find out, mechanics know, and it shouldn't take them ages.

EDIT - no idea where you are but mechanic is in south Leicester if that is anywhere near you?
