General Bonnet bra,, yess or no honesty please ?

I Have a full bra for my 323i. I only put it on to travel to shows and back. Even then I use masking tape on the paint to avoid damage from chafing.

I wouldn't recommend them to be left on in our climate. The rain and grit get in behind them and it's goodbye paint. The sun is also a problem for them if left on.

For the occassional (careful) use then they do have their place, but otherwise no.

P.S

my brother had one and even with no damage on his bonnet it rusted areas of paint. it currently rains everyday on the east coast so im probably better off without one.

Well long story short was working under car in garage and garage door shut down on bonnet so its damaged currently so thought bonnet bra for a short time and enjoy the hate for it lol and then respray bonnet black?? ?
Personally I would rather drive around with a dented bonnet than a car bra - they just look ridiculous.

Really, it won't!

They're kinda pointless on the GP anyway, as the leading edge of the bonnet, which takes most of the abuse, is actually part of the bumper, not the bonnet panel, so a bra doesn't protect the right bit of the car.

Yes but I'm using it to cover up dents not for its use as preventing chips from stones,, but each to their own :)
