General Bolt and hooky thing is £50!?

So just got back from the Fiat dealer, parts department.

Had a flat and had to get the spare out. After getting the tire replaced I went to put it back under the Doblo in it's carrier.

The bolt cross threaded. Durng the attempt to get it out, shattered the formed rod latch that hooks over the carrier.

So went to Fiat to order another assembly. 50 damn quid!! For a bolt and a hook! :bang:

All I need is a straight bolt, and the nut essentially welded to a hook, to pull the carrier into position.

I have found a similar item for a Merceds which is £12, but not sure if it will fit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252674692562?clk_rvr_id=1176678036648&rmvSB=true

Anyone have experience with the bolt and hooky thing? Another make or model which would work?

That looks to me like it would do the job and as it is meant for the same job but in another vehical it should be strong enough
