When I posted about body condition some time back someone suggested a new bodyshell (I think it might have been Dave?)
I can't find the post now
I was wondering about this option. Are they still available? Only from the continent? And if so what kind of price are they?
The next best option is to do as 'crashtest' did for his Camel project - have it pickled, welded-up by a specialist and coated.
Dave might have been joking about the new bodyshell of course... and I'm being a div...:D

Mick.

Best advise.

Look for the best rust free Panda you can find ignoring the doors, boot and bonnet for the cheapest money.

Check all sills, front wing joins, under the rear tailgate seal.

Get on your back and check at the side of the inner panel where the front leaf suspension mounts are (if 4x4) and while you are there, petrol tank and at the back of the rear bumper.

Look into the rear wheel arches, where there is a seam running horizontally, rust there is a nightmare.

If you are stuck for a goodun buy mine!!!

Dave

I'm liking the 'specialist' welder!! :p Just me.
finshed soon, promise.

That makes you a specialist then!
As far as I know you're the only member to have fully bottomed a Panda bodyshell and gone down the coating route..?
