Technical Body control module or not ?

thanks Fergie I am keeping this thread going as it is frustrating to see an issue that is familiar with no ending. I will get to the end of this problem and win, or my name is not....erm is not....sh*t I need to sleep ! :)

The trapped wire certainly seems a good direction to go in. Things like the flashing mileage could be connected or unconnected. I usually start with the simple / cheap stuff then go from there when fault finding.

as many mentioned in other posts the flashing mileage indicates one of two things either a module failure or the need for proxy alignment. Mine simply fixed itself as soon as the modules came back online i.e the TPMS was on that circuit too and I am almost sure it was causing the flashing. I am still mystified as to why a fuse didnt just blow before the wires became so hot they melted, and burnt the innerds of the Body Control Unit slightly. Micro soldering isnt my favourite job but modifying playstations has come in handy :)

So it's back on the road and working perfectly. A few small tweeks which has helped tighten up the glove box and the drinks cooler etc. The entire episode has been epic but I have learnt a few new tricks. How many screws were left after the strip down and rebuild ? How many broken clips and bits of trim ? The answer is a few but nothing i couldnt sort out, a lot less than i expected that's for sure and as for screws left over well answers are in the photographs.

If anyone recognises these two silver screws please let me know where they go :)
