Good heat sheilding, but a bit restrictive for a turbo'd application i *think*.

I liked the look of them a bit like the viper kit, you attach on to the afm and then route the pipe to the best cold air location seems a goo idea its just the price, the airfilter i have is on the same lines but i ran out of space so couldn't fit the cold feed on the end of the filter, but still feeds it and virtualy sucks air through the grill, and has a heat shield, anything is better than popping on a KN on afm in centre of engine bay and sucking hot air Ant!

Yes and no Ant.

I have an invo filte on my afm...

I had a ACT gauge on my car, taking a reading post IC just in front of the plenum, (before it went tits up) and that gave me readings no higher than 35 deg C, even in the hight of summer and boosting.

In the winter i consistantly drove with temps slightly higher than the ambient.

My conclusion is that if the IC is up to the job you have nothing to wory about, as it handles the heat with ease. If you're on the OE IC then i would go to every effort to do what you can.

I would look into the comments i am sure i have seen on other forums, bad mouthing these filters (and others like it) being too restrictive for turbo'd applications.

Please do check, i could be wrong but...

we'll, I got a cda kit today, the silver limited edition. just waiting 4 my head to come back, then i'll see how it works. got a vent cut in my bumper running straight into the cda airbox.
btw mines NA, so don't think there would be a problem.
thanx 4 replies.

No, good point, should work a treat.

Report back (i'm sure you would anyway..)

only going to dyno the car after about 1000km, just to get the motor run in a bit, engine was standart, my new mods include, head port, polish and gasflow, modded cam, ported and head matched intake, skimmed head to get 10.6:1 cr, 24thou oversize pistons, balanced and lightened bottom end, branch and freeflow and now the induction kit. I'm sure this is going to give me some extra power.
