There's a timing belt fitting tool kit, for locking the crank / cam / fuel pump, available on a popular auction site with free delivery to Argos.
Am not sure what the rules are in here about posting links, so haven't yet, but can do if it makes anyone's life easier.
It is claimed to be able to fit the Punto diesel ...
PUNTO 1.7 D + 1.7 TD - 1996-1997. 176 B3.000, 176 A3.000, 176 A5.000
So do you think that it would fit my 1993 Uno 1.7 diesel?
I've read that the cambelt can be slightly fiddly to change, someone on here said something like "you might have to put the belt on the fuel pump one tooth out, then rotate the engine a couple of times by hand, then it will be aligned".
I may leave this to a mechanic, but it would be useful to have the right tool, in case he doesn't.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
