I have got a cheap laptop and tomorrow I will be purchasing, a full copy of multiecuscan, would I be better off buying the bluetooth, which for me would be better as there is no faffing about with leads, or is wired better/faster and does it matter I'm new to all this and I really only want it to do the twin air oil reset after I change the oil and filter this weekend

Hello,

I'd say bluetooth interface is better, as it does not require cables nor adapters to use. Then, you can also use the same module to connect to your phone and for example Torque to read parameters / errors on the road. On my 2011/12 Ducato it even allows me to erase the engine error codes. Have not checked the other, as I don't have any :D

The bluetooth interface I have is the STN1170, apparently working with Fords and FIATs.

In the registered version you can switch interfaces, but the licence is tied up to one PC. It can be moved to another PC once per a period of time (year?). I did it last year when I switched to a new PC, sent a request late at night, the code was there in the morning. So no problem.

There is another licence which is tied to the interface, it's called Multiplexed, but is much more expensive.
