Hi,

I'm thinking about Multiscan or AlfaOBD (Android app).

I don't have a laptop, only PC and tablet. So I'm looking to connect up with a Bluetooth interface module.

There are quite a few to choose from (eBay Amazon etc) but which one should I get?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Cheers

Ron

I'm a MultiECUScan user and forum moderator. I have no personal experience or recommendations regarding Bluetooth connections.

However I have a Windows 8.1 tablet (Novatech/Clevo) device and with a USB2GO cable I have MultiECUScan reliably running and this tablet computer is now my primary computer hardware for MultiECUScan.

My advice would be (if you choose MultiECUScan) is to carefully read the following pages/links:

http://www.multiecuscan.net/Distributors.aspx

These listed guys supply working solutions, some possibly Bluetooth based.

If your tablet is not a Windows based solution and thus you only have your PC then it may be a tall ask for a "distance" Bluetooth connection.

Finally, please do a search of the MultiECUScan forums for Bluetooth. I know people do have MES Bluetooth connectivity and are not disappointed.

Hi,

Thanks for reply. Lots to read.

Initially all I want to do is to reset the oil warning after the next oil change.

I see that WiFi interfaces are also available, this might be better than Bluetooth in my case.

Cheers
