Right,

I've seen some Bluetooth adaptors for the Ipod.

What I want to know, can these adaptors pair straight upto the headunit or will the headunit (in Italian) ask for a code number like it does on the phone (no way of putting a code in with the Ipod if so)?

The Bluetooth adaptor supports A2DP?

Summary, will they pair up?

Tbh, you'd be better buying a cable to fit in the aux slot on the headunit.
I got the Fiat cable (Part No:50901536) which is a bit fiddly to get used to but works a treat now.

The bluetooth or fm transmitters I've used in the past have quite poor sound quality, especially if you start changing things on the EQ.

It's OK, I'm going down a different route now.

New head unit, Alpine iDA-X303 and I can keep and use my steering wheel controls with it
:p

I have a similar problem, and when i was looking for a HP, i just planned on getting the cable to link my iPod to the head-unit, and i believe it fits into the slot on the back where the CD changer would go...

Now, the car i bought, actually has the CD changer option in it, so i came to the conclusion that i cant now get a lead to link my iPod up, because the socket in the back is already in use!

Am i right in thinking this?

At the moment i use an iTrip which plays through a blank radio signal, the quality is woeful!!! But i dont really want to clutter up the car with a big CD wallet, and all my music is on my iPod!

If you're going to use an ipod disconnect the cd changer you no longer need, hey presto the socket is available again.

I was thinking that, ill have a look at the weekend when we (might) get some decent weather!

Thanks guys!
