General Blue & Me Sat Nav SD Card

My 500 Lounge arrived yesterday along with a B&M stand alone Sat Nav. When I tried to set the unit up through the PC it kept asking me to insert the SD card.

Unfortunately there was no SD card in the box ! .... Would anyone know whether I can put my own blank card in the unit (not sure what size it needs to be?) Or does it have to be a special B&M SD card with pre stored info installed on it ??

Mike,

The SD card you require is actually the Map data. These are not shipped with the sat nav unit, as there is a choice of which country maps you can have. Have a word with the dealership you got your unit from and they should be able to sort you out with the appropriate SD card.

Are the SD cards updated regularly and available to buy separately? Or can they be updated online somehow?

The same thing happened to me. You would think the dealer would ask if you require the SD card when buying the sat nav unit. Card cost me about £25.Sorry, I don't know the answers regarding updating.
