Guys & Gals,

If anyone was wondering, the answer to the unposed question of "Is Blue & Me Nav retrofittable?" is . . . It was. FIAT now code the B&M Nav units to the chassis numbr when ordering them, so if you're car didn' have it from the factory (i.e. UK models), then you can't order it.

If you manage to ge one like I did, then it's simply a matter of replacing the unit in the glovebox (5 min job at most), installing aGPS/GSM antenna (ok, maybe longer than 5 mins) and getting the car Proxi'd at the dealer to stop the mileage flashing. No time delay circuits or additional wiring ala Connect Nav+ . . . how boring!

It doesn't need the "Nav" panel by the ceiling lamp either, as I hardly ever used mine, and it is not required to work.

Don't think I have any actually . . . I assume you mean of the unit working? It basically gives you a directional arrow and countdown in yards, as well as a voice-over; it's actually quite a good system, I was quite surprised. Totally voice activated too.

As I say, the unit is no longer orderable for vehicles that didn't come with it from the factory - we've tried ordering it, but the FIAT parts system rejects the order - nightmare! The unit and map software now cost £595.34 too!
