Im new to the modding scene. i have a blue gp active sport 1.4 8v.(has a slight kit on it) im looking to mod it but want it to look sweet but without being an eyesore! i have 15" standard alloys on but wondered if i should swap them for a set of 16" and lower it 30-35mm and spray them black. tint the windows, a vinyl blackroof and a carbon bonnet. would do people think? :bang: or what could you recommend? cheers

I prefer white alloys on a blue car, but its your choice and they would be dirty all of the time. 17s look better than 16s too IMO

Tinting windows is a must, abarth or angel eye headlights look alot better than the standards. Lowering is also a must.

Sounds like you've got a good plan, you just need to price it all up and make sure you can afford it, tinting is quite expensive if you want it done properly, alloys will set you back atleast a few hundred.

Not sure on the carbon bonnet though.

Sounds like a good plan for the main parts of the car but you gotta think small aswel as it's the things like grills, wind deflectors, mirror cap colours and badges that make the biggest difference. Oh an some fiat forum stickers of course. You can spend all day thinking of wheel colours and the such and get nowhere. I bought my gp with white wheels on it. It's a blue one aswel and I love them I just hate the blue outline the wheels have. But sounds like a good plan buddy, not too sure about the carbon bonnet but I've never seen it done yet so it might work.

Hey and welcome to the forum!

Photo's are a must (as mentioned!) Once you hit 5 post's (iirc) you can upload photo's to the gallery at the top of the page (clicky link in nav bar). Externally hosted photo's are a no no here on FF.

As for mods to your car the possibilities are endless. IMHO the biggest, single most important one, is lowering the GP. As they sit stupidly high as standard. Most common route people take is Eibach Sportlines (i've done this), they lower approx 35-40mm iirc and just remove that hideous arch gap. For this 17" rims look best IMO, 16's would work but are better suited to being dropped on your belly on coilovers.

Other mods are a matter of taste and opinion (yours more importantly). Ranging from window tints, debadged grill, mud guards, wind deflectors, carbon/plasti-dip subtle additions here and there. All up to you, a common phrase thrown about is "OEM+" (original equipment manufacturer) with the plus being that little bit 'extra' to turn your GP into every day stuff, to sweet stuff.

Browse through people's members motors threads and get inspiration, or do something different that we haven't done (y)
