Technical Blower resistor location? (Climate control)

Hi all,

The blower resistor went out on my car the other day but I cant find it anywhere! Googling says it’s located under the dash on the passenger side (eu car) but it isn’t on my car. The car is from 2008 and is equipped with climate control. I reckon that has something to do with it. Any ideas?

Remove the blower fan and motor then look

Look i eper. Resistor might be part of the cc electronics and not a separate part.
Try putting 12V directly to the fan after removal. Could be brushes.

Good morning everyone,

It turns out that 500s equipped with automatic climate control don't have a separate resistor, it's built into the fan so you have to replace the entire thing. Took a while to figure out, but I can finally defrost my windows again
