Ok the ice is starting to annoy me again - I forgot how annoying it was and also how I need to wash the car every 2 or 3 days during the winter but just wondered if there is anything you can buy to apply to your windows to either stop or minimize the build up of ice on the windows?

If not then why not?

Put a cover or black bag over the windows and hold it in place with the doors. The only prob with that is someone can come along and just pull it off...... but it does work!

It does work indeed but I live on a rather busy street which is frequented by school kids on a regular basis (the lil shits already know its my car and leave messages on the ice for me) so the bin bag thing would really just be looking for trouble.

Bank cards make surprisingly good scrapers!

That is true but the cash machine has problems reading it next time u need some cash

dont use a bank card, use the annoying credit card applications that get sent to you! nice of them to provide free car maintenance kit!

PA1 thats the kinda centre of their town i think

But PA covers a massive area if I remember right including some smaller islands

lol ah rite sorry,

Paisley is still covered under Glasgow so its 0141 xxx-xxxx

Thats true,

Where or what in Paisley are you trying to contact cause its in a bit of an akward place regarding area codes cause each direction u got by 2 or 3 miles it changes.

But if its someplace actually in paisley centre (i.e. the Uni where i am now) its 0141

But as Martyn pointed out Renfrew is a different area code even though its closer to Glasgow??

was wondering what 0141 was someone phoned me from there the other day n couldnt figure out what it was, you can get rain-x it stops water sittin on the window my dad got some the other day yet to try it though, will let you know if it works once i try it

yeah rain x is brilliant for keepin water off the car, but even with that my windows still get all frosty - i dont think its water i think its the cold wind or something cause across from my street is a big pitch with a path that runs for aobut 2 miles so all the cold air builds up down there
