WTF is a toffee wheel? I took 2 of my strips off my black punto and the adhesive took hours to get even an inch of so I gave up! Since I don't drive the car now I coldn't car less atm but wanted to de-strip my others

Use AUTO GLYM TAR REMOVER just soak the adhersive with it and leave for 10mins then use a credit card to scrape several thin layers of adhersive off until it all disaapears. BTW took me like 2 hours to get it all of i got my mate to do one side whilst i did one.

So there is this black stuff which is a bitch to try to get off - its hard but flexible if that makes sense, really stuck on to the car and just wont budge. All the glue from the adhesive is gone now just these there on the doors.. Anyone got any idea how to get these off? tried a heat gun, petrol, wd40 but no luck

If you've made a good job of removing the rub strips do you want to sell them? I'm after some for the wifes 3 door. I put a Wanted ad in the Classifieds but no reply yet.

3 door ones don't look good on a 3 door. they are in the wrong place to provide any protection from anything, leave them off.

I disagree, I think a Punto looks awful without them plus it'll be handy when the wife opens the door onto a brick wall which no doubt she will do as she's done it to all her cars. :D

oh an wanted goes in classifieds ;)

Obviously you didn't read my reply properly. (y)

Ah it doesn't hurt by posting one reply on one thread, I have parts available and I never check the classifieds! More people will read it on here so even if they don't have it they may know someone who can help!
