Technical Black smoke

Hi all I have a fiat Ducato 2002 camper van 2.8 tdi witch is putting out a lot of black smoke when I accelerate it runs ok but I’m a bit concerned about the smoke can anyone help.

Check the egr valve is not stuck partially open
Check hoses from turbo to intercooler and the intercooler are not leaking

My 2.5 TDI has the same symptom, and I wonder if it could be oil-sludge in the intercooler. Since the crankcase ventilation enters before the intercooler, oil-vapors will definetly condesate in the intercooler... or am I wrong?

Check as @jackwhoo states above re turbo pipes first
