Bit of a weird question buttt...

.... does anyone know what the diameter of a fuel nozzle on a petrol pump is??


Reason is that on my GTM Libra for some reason they designed the fuel cap arrangement so that it is literally horizontal which is totally stupid as there needs to be a gradient for the fuel to flow into the tank.

This results in me splashing fuel everywhere, feet, floor, you name it. Very slow to fuel up as the only way to avoid splashing fuel all over the place is to fill it very slowly.


I want to get a reducer pipe to fit a pipe I already have that goes into the filler on the car so that I can just squirt it straight down into the tank by pushing the pipe past the horizontal bit. My pipe is 11mm ID. So I basically need a straight reducer to fit over the nozzle then reduce down to fit the pipe I already have.

approx 30mm i reckon... not sure if i'm misunderstanding what you mean about a reducer pipe and peice you have anyway, but could you not just get a bit of hose and keep it in the car, then when you fill up wedge it in the filler and hold it up so its easier?

Well I certainly wouldnt authorise fueling using that method on my forecourt and I doubt many other would also
