For those interested the 500 Bicolour is now available to configure at fiat.co.uk.

Interesting spec as it's very much like the PurO2 in that it's a Pop with some lounge features.

Not sure about the red/White combo, but I'm sure it'll be popular in some camps.

Not sure if Fiat do what Abarth do, but the Bi-colours on the Abarth 500C come with leather too, hence the price. You can't have one without the other. Could be different with the Fiats though.

p.s. The Bi-colours are coming soon for the Abarth 500 tin top! (y)

Don't like it.

I always think two tone cars look much better with the dark colour over the lighter one. I wouldn't have chosen red & white either if there was going to be no other choices.

and why a single low spec?

Now black over yellow would be cool.

Or dark over light grey.

I am unsure about the white & red.

The dark over the light (Campovolo Grey two tone)

is the only one that I would consider although it might be kept an exclusive colour for the Abarth (when I first saw it on the Abarth I wasn't sure about it but now I like it - saw one in the flesh & took some pics on my phone).

A lot of Irish 500 fans use the UK configurator - the Irish one needs to be 'worked on' and is really only used for prices.

What has been the demand being like for the Matt Black ?

looks better on the configurator than it does in the 'pictures'. I haven't see it in the flesh.

"Camps" being the operative word...

Oof, nearly £1400 premium over a standard pop for the paint and alloys (No blue n me/air con etc)

Too right! Over 11 grand for a basic 1.2 Pop is crazy - OK, you get the chrome kit and wheels as well, but seriously!

I do actually like it, but the premium being asked here for what is really quite a spartan car is a lot IMO.

The problem for me is that (i) the colour contrast is way too big and (ii) the 500 is a curvy car and the line separating the two colours is way too straight and severe.

totally agree with this, i think the reason the 500c looks so good is kept the overall shape and sides

dealer had a bicolour abarth in and didn't push any buttons for me either

I can't see it being a success at that price. Maybe with air con and Blue & Me included it would be OK, but as it stands the price it a bit optimistic and I find the contrast in the colours too harsh.

The only 500 special I've liked so far is the byDiesel, or possibly the Matt Black at a push but the paint jobisn't practical. I guess Fiat don't need to introduce value added versions at the moment while the car is still successful.
