On eBay there is currently a seller breaking two Panda 4x4s. As you will see, they have a few bits already listed. However, he keeps changing the names of his profiles (which I know, others know how to track -- as we've seen with the Panda Killer...): but it seems he's known to eBay, PayPal, and even the police, for taking people's money, and never sending the parts.

I would advise anyone contacting someone breaking a car to always get the seller to list the item via eBay before you buy it. Its a hassle but it makes it easier to get your money back if the seller is unscrupulous. I believe there is still buyer protection via PayPal only, but best to make things all straightforward

I hope the anonymous buyer wasn't stung and can get their money back.

Only realised when I reviewed my Paypal account (looking for something else) and it was outside the 45 day refund rule. But that was ages ago.
And I couldn't get hold of him then....:bang:

I have to admit I have had to fight more on ebay these days. Crooks seem to be really testing the system at the moment. This chap is not far from me; if I was buying anything from him it would be in cash I think!

Someone was trying to get Y10 alloys off someone breaking a car in that location. Sounded like a lost cause - I hope they weren't fleeced - bet it's the same seller.

I read through the feedback and I'm sure a couple of lots sold more than once.

I don't understand how this kind of practise can work.... Do you modify your traders name and wipe all your feedback..?

I honestly don't know (we're obviously too nice, us oldies...): but the Panda Killer has multiple IDs, which he changes regularly. To be honest, it's obvious it's him, though: so I don't know what he's achieving....

This guy, though, I think may just be lazy....

This misleading post has been brought to my attention by facebook user. I would like address the issues raised. In my experience, people who choose to make statements anonymously, do so because they know their statements are untrue.

I am breaking my two panda 4x4 as a car enthusiast who wants to see the parts being put to good use, rather than being crushed. I sell these parts through ebay.

Regarding the claims that I keep changing my user Id, this thread has correctly found that my ebay user ID has remained the same since my accounts creation in 2008. So quite clearly the earlier is untrue.

As both an eBay and Paypal account holder, I am of course known to both of these companies. To the best of my knowledge I am not known to the police.

Regarding the various claims being made as to non-receipt of items, this thread represents the first that i've heard of them. In my view if these claims were genuine then they would be made directly to me through the proper channels, ie eBay and or paypal. Im not aware of these claims having being made and have no reason to believe that these claims have been made.

Alix, I am yet to secure a sale for my leaf springs. To the best of my knowledge we have not had any dealings. I am quite happy to run a search for you of my ebay/paypal transactions to see if your username is there and post the results on here as a screenshot, subject to you confirming your ebay/paypal id's to me.

With regard to repeated listings, it seems quite common for buyers not to complete transactions anymore. I guess they either forget they've placed the bid or buy what they want before the auction concludes. This then results the winning bids being canceled and the items being relisted or offered as a second chance offer. The second chance offers show up as a buy it now listing of the same value as the second highest bid. I have set my eBay up to do this automaticly. The winning bidders remain at liberty to issue feedback after their bid has been canceled.

The two negative feedbacks I have received are where I cancled a transaction due to the buyer buying on behalf of another member who had been banned from purchasing my items. The second being where the buyer failed to make payment, which resulted in the bid being canceled and the item relisted.

I welcome people with genuine concerns to express those to me, either in public or in private and I will always do my best to resolve them.

I can see no need for people to spread hysterical and untrue rumors about me with the intention of putting people of purchasing things from me and then inciting others to do the same. All this can ever result in is those people being banned from purchasing my items and being reported to ebay, which results in those people being banned from bidding on other sellers items to.

With an ever diminishing supply of classic 4x4 panda spares, it defies any reasonable belief as to what certain members of this forum hope to achieve by alienating themselves from my self and others who still have parts for sale.

As long as you get the money, (and looking at the page you said you refunded it, so must have) what does it matter to you if they were bought on behalf of somebody else?

I'm going to step out, now; but only after stating the following facts:

1. I trust the forum member who asked me to start this thread; and don't believe that they would lie -- not even to protect themselves.
2. At the risk of revealing their identity, this member told me that they "bought and paid for bits a while ago... and they never arrived - no refund either, he stole [a large sum of money] off me!"
3. PayPal and the police were both mentioned, because of the channels this member had been through to try and resolve the situation -- which I would have done, too, in their place. Some of the information quoted may therefore have come through those channels, or from eBay themselves.
4. It is obviously not for me to resolve this -- that is beyond any member of the Forum. If I appear to be taking sides, it is only because I know the person involved: who had tried the defined ways to sort it, and hit a brick wall.
5. I don't know whether this is a single incident; or a misunderstanding -- but, as I and others have said, there have been too many instances in the past where eBay deals have been tainted; and we do our best to look after each other, and protect ourselves from such problems. This member was only, therefore, doing what I would have done in their shoes: explaining the problem they had experienced; and stopping others from going through the same thing.

Ordinarily I would agree with you mrcinquecento, but the user whom I had blocked had been reported to ebay on several occasions for canceling transactions after the items had been despatched and then using threats of negative feedback to negotiate a refund/discount without returning the item. In the circumstances I didn't feel safe dealing with that buyer, so I exercised my discretion and cancelled the transaction.

Homeward, whilst you may well trust this mystery member, for as long as you allow your self to broadcast unsubstantiated messages on their behalf, the expressed issues can never be resolved.

If this member genuinely wanted to resolve an issue, then they would have expressed that issue openly, both to through the proper channels and or through a forum like this. To the best of my knowledge everyone whose purchased items from me has received them. Its not clear what is meant by "a large sum of money", but most of my sales are of less than £30 each.

Ive cross checked with my ebay, paypal and courier accounts and I have no record any large transactions that have not been delivered and or any transactions that the buyer has later disputed, hence my reason for believing this allegation is totally untrue.

If this mystery member does have a problem, the the door is open if they want to resolve it, but the balls in their court as far as expressing that problem to me is concerned.

As far as hitting a brick wall is concerned, every time I try to investigate this issue, I draw a blank. Its one of the sad facts of life that deals can and do fall through for various reasons, but that is no reason to go around targeting and undermining the activities of genuine people.

..and 'obvious reasons'? not really. Most folks who have grief with ebay purchases are pretty upfront about it, and frankly getting the Police involved in stuff is probably far more likely to provoke a criminal type than mouthing off on an internet forum.

I understand where you're coming from; and respect your point of view... -- but there's a lot going on in the background that I can't, at the moment divulge. I'm really sorry that this is the case... -- but it is a public forum.

I don't want to come across as someone who stirs things up: that just isn't my way (as most people would agree, I hope...). With the Panda Killer pervading this section of the Forum, I think we're all a little (to say the least) concerned that people who we see as friends -- and not just acquaintances from some corner of the Internet -- don't get ripped off, though; and I believe all of us (to one degree or another) are willing to put ourselves out there to stop this happening.

I did this because a friend on the Forum asked me to; and had been warned off (by a third party) from doing it personally. I'm sorry I can't yet go into details -- but I do promise it will all come out in the wash. :chin:

If you want to report the thread/my posts, I'm fine with that... -- and you can ask for the thread to be removed. However, you do need to know that I believe there is merit in what others have reported; and that this is a lot more substantial than people just mouthing off.

I think it it probably about the time this thread was locked purely because we don't do this stuff on the Panda Forum.

For the record I bought those springs on the 25-8-2013 and paypal invoice No. 0161 was paid at 21:25hrs.
I'm not the mystery buyer and at the time took it to be a one off oversight on both parties behalf. Disappointed no messages were replied to.
Perhaps we can lock this away now.

The problem homeward is not what you believe, but the reasons that your belief is founded upon or in this case the lack of them. Supporting your various beliefs with reasons like "but there's a lot going on in the background that I can't, at the moment divulge. I'm really sorry that this is the case..." isn't going to resolve anything and to me reads like a story of a child and their imaginary friend.

I can only re-iterate what I said in earlier posts if someone has an issue with their purchase from me, then that issue needs to be expressed to me so that I can resolve it. In the absence of any such expression, I can only continue to assume that the comments are purely malicious.

I would like to thank firstcar-Y10 for taking the time to read this thread and bring some sensible and constructive views into the conversation.

With regard to Alix, that date does coincide with a period of ill health suffered by myself. I be will requesting that eBay and Paypal do provide me with records going back to that time and I will come back to you with the results as and when there available.
