goodmorning my friends.this is a question very suitable for you in you uk because of the weather. i bought the sonar led lights (like the one from the super turismo thread) but i discovered that all the connections are naked and exposed to water when it rains.also they don't fit exactly to the chassis and they also leave a gap between the metal and the outer side of the lghts.so what is the best way to waterproof them?

i was thinking the same thing. but i don;t know if there is a vary wide heat shrink cable.thanx mate!

jimboy from what you've wrote i think there isn't a very wide tube i suppose.thanx for pointing me to the right direction

I've bought various sizes from Radio Spares. Still have some 50mm (unshrunk) diameter that I used to wrap speedometer pulse generators with. I think it was on Ritmo/Stradas (showing my age now). The speedo sensor used to get wet inside so had to break the metal band off to open it to dry it out. Couldn't secure the band again so fixed the 2 parts back together with adhesive lined heat shrink tube. Worked perfectly, and they never got wet again. Even used it whenever I fitted a new sensor.

Dave.
