Want to make my sei shine like a mirror - have seen a few cars around and the polish on them is amazing I normally use autoglym but im not convinced this is the best - any ideas guys/gals???

Depends on what Auto Glym product your using, there are extra gloss products, both as a cream and a clear, that really bring the shine up, but they will only be really effective if you've clayed the car first.

Cheers

i use wurth rapid finish can be used by hand or with a buff removes fine scratches caused by car wash etc..
min effot required to get the polish off once it has dried

What is claying the car? I have seen those clay bars in the shops but never really bothered looking at them

Its ok just been reading about claying etc, didnt know that! have to get myself a bar and try it - gonna take pics before and after and may post results

if its your first time with clay i'd suggest you try

(auto clay soft)

other clays need you to use a quick detailer as a lubricant which is circa £7 a bottle where as the BH uses normal tap water (y)

this is a good guide

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=4829

keep it warm and fold regularly

as for a polish Autoglyms super resin polish is one of the best i've used

then to seal/wax something like BH auto balm

or collinite wax

(can get the clay and autobalm and clay from elite too and get a discount if you register with http://www.detailingworld.com/ (y) )

Cheers guys that helps a lot, gonna get myself some soon i think! providing the great british weather holds off

i have tried it in the past and it is a real swine to buff off and doesn't seem to last overly long in my experience (n) but it does fill the swirls rather well..

Yeah it is hard to get off, but the mirror shine it gives is immense. Ive found it lasting for weeks tho

Its funny thing polish - everyone has different tastes.
