Finally! Some real pictures :p Think it's the first time i've seen some and looking good as always mate! Didn't you have more ideas for new shoes? Not that the rh's look bad but I know you like your wheels ;)

Thanks pal, yeah was looking at selling up the wheels and getting something new but cant decide what to do so will stick with these for the time being!

Liking it mate, though personally not feeling the wheels. Less barrel and more lip is the order of the day (y)

The interior is to die for. Spot on.

haha yeah, looking at dishing out the rear a bit more but will cost me close to £400 which is very pricey for like an inch more dish.

Those seats are lovely mate, great car all round IMO :)

Thanks bud (y)

Yeah I did want the sporting fogs but these were cheap at the time so just got them while I could, but looking to get the fog cutouts smoothed over when funds allow it :)
And thanks a lot mate, hopefully it all goes ok! And if I can afford it and it won't lose me too much money, discounts all round to the forum cus I love you all ;)

Nothing to update, apart from the fact I'm a very happy man! After months of thinking my paint was done for, thinking nothing could make it look good again... A 3 day cleaning session with good products rather than the cheapest rubbish I can find. The paint is gleaming! Very achey arms at this point but its so worth it! Anyway, some pics!

Clayed the whole car very thoroughly! Now feels like glass! Here's 1 doors worth of crap;

And a few passes with polish later. We have a very reflective black Beauty:

The big clean is all in aid of Early edition this Sunday... Anyone going?

Also got a place on a show stand at the players show in June :) come check the car out and say hi :)

Someone help...
Car is lovely and clean and I'm loving it. But with it being a black car, dust and other road grime seem to just stick to the cars body. My question is, What's the best way to keep the dust off the car? or if its inevitable the best way to remove quickly?
I was thinking of buying a microfibre dust mitten to just run over the surface after every day driving. But if I can repel it all together let me know!

This is also a massive ballache for me too. I tend to get it off with a microfiber somehow without touching it, big lungs can help aswel lol I find if its been waxed I can brush it off with barely any contact, I don't need anymore scratches haha even if I leave the car in the garage for a day or 2 it collects lots of dust :(

The smoother the paint work the less texture there is for dust to cling too. Unless your willing to wet sand the orange peel out of the paintwork then theres not alot else you can do :/ keep it well waxed and make use of quick detailer to top it up.

I'm yet to buy myself a good wax, any recommendations. A lot of people say dodo juice purple haze is the best for dark cars so might try that, unless there is any you would say trump all other waxes?

Re: SMOG. (Page 9 is where things get interesting)

There are plenty of brilliant waxes out there and it depends on what you are looking to get out of it.
For black i would recommend Autofinesse tough coat (which is a sealant), its fantastic. Very easy to use and can last upto 6 months with regular washing with a ph neautral shampoo. Dont go taking a dry microfibre cloth to the car, fiat paint is very, very soft and you will just end up marring it and making it look really bad after a short amount of time.
If you really wanted to keep the dust away without getting the hose out you should try Optimum no rinse, its really good for very light soiling and especially good in the summer!
A good sealant like the one i mentioned or a wax (autofinesse also do a great selection of these) topped up with a quick detailer should help keep the dust away for a few days.
The problem you are having is the exact reason i will never own a black car again!

Thanks for the advice mate :)

How do you cope with bumps and things? Surely you get some side skirt scrapeage?

Never really had any major problems, i try to avoid speed bumps as much as possible and when i do have to tackle them I go in at an angle which gives me more clearance. Biggest problem for me is wheels scraping the arch, such a horrible sound :( but no harm is ever done to wheels or car which is good!
