Beep ?

I took my car out today only second time since i got it and was messing with the radio. and it started to go beep every few seconds , whats that all about please ?

What car? What radio?

Edit: If it's the standard radio in a Mk2(b), then the manual says "If the TA function (traffic information) is on, but the radio station chosen does not give traffic information, the device “beeps” every 30 seconds."

wile i am here asking silly questions . why are the cars called mk1/mk2 and so on. i used to go ferreting so a mk1 is a ferret finder to me lol

Now that is a silly question Mk1 was the first generation Punto, Mk2 second generation, Mk2b (what you have) is the Mk2 with a 'facelift', etc etc etc

Well it's not a convention that's unique to Fiat, certainly VW and their Golf for example follow the same naming convention.
