Pulling away whilst turning on a reasonable incline yesterday eve, front wheels on gravel, rear on grass. As expected gave a little wheel slip at the front before the fourbie kicked in and it pulled away. But as it did so there was a single short beep from the dash. Same sort of beep as when you get a warning for other things.

Seemed an unusual behaviour. Normal?

Guessing not normal as couldn’t replicate this morning!

Should also have mentioned, no lights etc on dash afterwards. Except flashing oil can and "Service:change oil" msg. But this has been on for 100 miles or so and not beeping at me, just flashing.

Must have been a blip in the system
Have experienced the single beep and ‘lock’ and ‘abs’ unavailable’ but that was in deep snow and mud, 169 Cross, going forwards and it was doing its braking/grip thing…I stopped, switched it off, restarted and reversed out and all was fine, no permanent messages

Diesel? It will flash the red oil can symbol and beep now and again (more frequently the longer it’s ignored) until the oil is changed AND the computer has been told it’s been changed (which only a Fiat garage or someone with MultiECUscan can do). If ignored for 500 miles it (reportedly) will go into limp mode until oil change done and ECU reset. I’ve never found out as I get the oil change done as soon as poss after that message flashes up.

It will come up either 2 years after the previous reset, or 24000 miles if sooner, or if a certain number of DPF regens have occurred.

The fact it coincided with wheel slip is, I’d suggest, purely coincidence
