Technical Battery warning light

Hi guys. Started my FIAT Ducatp 2007. today seem to be going okay then the battery warning light came on, this happened in the rain was wondering whether water was an issue, noticed the wipers started to work slower. Then light went out and wipers started to move at normal speed again.
Any ideas??

Most probably lots of issues due to water ingress getting into wiring either lower screen trim or around headlights
