hi,after the dual mass flywheel failure i did think things would get better but now the battery light is staying on.it happened once before.stayed on for a day and then went off.any one any ideas.had the battery and alternator checked but it was after the light went off.no fault was found.really getting fed up now.we had hoped it would be areliable car.

If all the connections/belt and battery have been checked Pip, it's most probably the regulator in the altenator in my opinion.

Sadly, "process of elimination" is the only way sometimes with the intermittant faults.... or double check your breakdown cover!

If you're gonna D.I.Y.
E-Bay price seems to be about £170 for a Sedici diesel.... But by cross referencing the part number (LRA02808) it seems they were also used in Vauxhall Vectras and are a lot cheaper... £75+£15 postage! (Due to the G.M./Suzuki/Fiat collaboration.) Recommend you double check with the seller. Try an E-Bay search with LRA02808 and tick the "include in description" box.

Hope this helps :)

If your car is under warranty but the garage are being funny... take video evidence and show them. ;)

thanks for that.garage is meant to be fitting a new alternator tomorrow if we get the go ahead from the garage we purchased it from.theve been real difficult but were hounding them.just lucky the problems are now while theres a warranty to argue over.its a shame. the car was super for the first four weeks.the videos a good idea.
