Hello from USA, just an FYI, my Fiat 500X POP 1.4 manual needed a new 12V battery after 3.5 years. I live in New England so most likely the cold weather recently contributed to its demise. At any rate just to let other owners know the tell tale signs are as follows:
1) hard to start, hesitation & a bit of a whirr before starting ok
2) random codes pop up after start (coolant temp high, check electronic parking brake, etc) these go away after a minute or so and are not pulled on a scanner.
The computer never indicated anything wrong with the battery or any part of the electrical system. I'm fairly sure that's all that was needed as the guy at Auto Zone showed me the "bad battery" message on the unit they use, even changed it out for me.
