Technical Battery Charge Installed or Removed?

My Van will no doubt sit through the winter…..maybe a couple of trips. I’m considering keeping a battery trickle charge through this period, battery installed. What do you guys do? Which Charger?

Also i've solar panel dual charger one to hab battery splits to van battery so always gets a charge through the winter..

I also have dual mppt solar chargers that keep SB sorted. The LB get a christmas charge when the fridge is used over christmas.

As you may have guessed, I’m new to campervan charging. I had a 100w panel on my caravan, so do you mean two roof solar panels? Delivering how many watts each? Thanks.

Solar can be a bit of a minefield, but if you have a panel already installed, have a look at the controller (ideally post up a pic') as some have the ability to charge more than 1 battery. Some of the latest MPPT controllers will have 2 outputs, 1 for Leisure 1 for Vehicle

The clue might also be in the name eg Votronics DUO.
I have 2 controllers because of 2 contraints the total watage attached and the panel voltage. ie 2 x 21V panel and one 46V panel total 550W

dis - con-nect the battery
