Technical battery charge failure

Hi ppl,

Whilst nearing the end of a steady 60 mile drive this evening in my 54plate 2.0 jtd eleganza (auto). The main screen displayed the warning "battery charge failure" shortly afterwards various warning lights flashed on, i assume this is as the battery slowly died. i managed to get the car home but what would cause this ? how do i go about fixing this?

Hi, Just picked up this link, would appreciate if you could let me know how you got on with this fault as i am having the same issues at the moment. Also the battery is draining if you leave it connected. Thanks.
