General Battery change and security

If I disconnect the battery, does it upset the security system? Will my key still work? I hav a W reg diesel Multipla

Yes, the key will still work.

Apart from the radio code will anything else need to be reset? I heard a story on the forum some time back of someone who couldn't shut their alarm off after reconnecting the battery.

Well, I've changed batteries on two diesel Multis and had no ill-effects either with radio code or security systems.

But then unlike others on the forum I've had relatively few problems with either of my Multis. Lucky maybe...
