Difference is, Dell actually make decent TFTs whereas their computer quality is questionable.

Its £230 or so from aria for a lower model (16ms). It must be noted that this only has an analogue input.

my laptop has been OK, had a few things wrong but i supose your not ment to use a laptop for about 10 hours or more a day, lasted about 1 1/2 before something went wrong though. there computers are really good i think, my school computers are dell, 5 years old now and used at least 7 hours a day and left on over night.

Computers unused shouldn't be left on overnight, tell your school it is costing them about £150/computer/year - if the unit charge for energy is similar on a commerical account.

My school probably had (just in comp rooms) about 100 computers or so, that would be £15,000/year. It's a lot of wastage.....

some of us dont have a clue tho, so in the end would cost more in repairs, and setting it right when you "accidentaly" break of a little bit of metal, or put i wire, or spill something:rolleyes:

lol, i built mine for about 500 quid. And apart from the graphics card its all top stuff, because i need to run Reason and Cubase, which are very demanding programs...

And that system would cost how much in the shops?
