The road from Cuneo to Nice is amazing. It's called the Tende and has lots of tight hairpins, 4-5 in straight succession in some parts. J Clarkson said God made Hot Hatches for his road . This area also produces what is now recognised as the best wine in the world - Barolo, and I know many of the producers so can set up some wine tasting too. It's too good not to come and you're welcome to take advantage of my local knowledge! I'll be very happy to meet with fellow Brits in Barchs!

I learnt to drive on the French side of those roads. I must disagree about the wine, the best wine from that part of the world is the Barbaresco.

Ah Professorwho, Barbaresco isn't too bad either Same grape. Barolo was voted best in the world. I'm happy with a good Nebbiolo
