Bad reception

Hi,

Having got my bravo sport 165 a few days ago, notice the radio reception is terrible, I have AF turned off. Could this be the antenna itself or could it be the wiring to the back of the stereo?

the aerial tends to have a push-fit cable to the mount,
worth attempting to access the various contact points;
