Technical Backfired, jumped time, new timing belt etc. no spark at dual point dist.

74 fiat spider was running great, downshifted, it backfired and died. Found it jumped time, intake cam and aux shaft off time. Crank good with exhaust cam. Lined all up, installed new belt, tensioner bearing, water pump, new points, condensers, rotor - got no spark - hotwired coil to cold start points and starts right up - wired factory and got juice to both sides of coil but none to either points. Whats up with that???
