hi ,im going to buy a backbox for my brava ,do they need to be welded on? or do they just slip on once i take the old box off ?

The OEM one isnt just the back box, its the middle and back together and they are held on to the cat by a clip.

if you're going for a stainless steel backbox or similar you will have to chop the standard backbox off as it's one piece up to the CAT.

Customize some brackets to hold the new one in place.

You can either weld the new one to the existing pipework or clamp it on!

The same thing that is used to clamp the exhaust onto the CAT

In basic terms it's called an exhaut clamp!

also to get the old box off the brava i am going to use my angle grinder so where abouts do i cut it,and after its cut i just clamp my new backbox on?

Not sure about the size!

Cut it to suit basically, depends on the size of the new box

You'll need to weld on some brackets aswell to hold the backbox in place.

Unless you'r good with these sort of things, best pay someone who knows how! e.g. exhaust dealers!

well i work in a place that convert vans to taxis and horseboxes and stuff so i will be able to get a guy to make me some brackets and stuff or grind off the old exhaust bracket and get it welded onto the new box ,that would work wouldnt it ?

also im "trying" to fit my new cobra clubman seats into the car and the old seats are bolted to the rails with allen bolts, but they wont bloody move with my allen keys or the key is just sliding on the bolt but not turning it,any ideas mate?
