Sorry about the news but that HGT looks like a new penny, extremely well looked after.

i know you gota sell due to work commitments but why not hang on to it,when time comes and ur back on ur feet,youll be gutted its gone??? Just Ive recently coome out of work myself and was considerin sellin my car,but i decided against it as i love it too much hehe.So in end,we bort a £300 p reg red 3 door polo 1.9d to run about in

Well Stephen, i think the beetle is more buried than hidden under that stuff!..must get round to doing the old girl up!..
here she is 'uncovered!'

My Job is as a contract CAD technician drawing houses, industrial units etc.. in the Building trade which has been decimated by the credit Crunch...and as i'm self employed and work for myself, times are hard..had 7 weeks out of work last year,and bits and pieces of work since... current contract finishes in three weeks time, hoping something might come up before then to allow me to keep HGT, but not looking good.

...Joske..keeping wheels on car as nothing to replace them with!

some peeps are harsh! the chap is only trying to sell his car which looks miles better than the usual heaps and chav'd ones you see. give him a break. seriously if i were looking to buy an hgt i would seriously consider looking at his. good luck selling it.

Well I can't see the pictures as I am at work but given that Shabash! would cost anyone wanting her more than the asking price here I can't disagree with the valuation.
As has been said though, I'd get the issues sorted to prove that she is as well looked after as she (apparently) looks. In this price bracket it needs to be the best to command top dollar so don't give anyone a reason to knock the price down.

Hi all
Just been told that injection light can come on if spark plugs are failing,causing the eratic tickover and flat spots..can anyone confirm this?
Car does need a service anyway.

plugs did help me and my flat spot, but its almost defontly a maf, and you may as well do the lambda wile your there

i had this problem with mine mate.I took it to kiwk fit as they were free for fault finding but was unable to plug it in as i needee the 6 pin connector or sumthin..Anyway,they tested the lambda sensor and that proved to be working fine and doing its job (cus 1st thing i fort was the L/S)its only 12 month old now and the warranty for it has just ran out :s but wasnt that at fault thank god lol

adam : when i get round to doing mine,im gona give it a good clean 1st.If problem still arrives later then think ill get a new 1.BUT your selling urs arnt ya,so aslong as its running rite once cleaned youll be fine

Did you manage to sort the engine light out?
I took all my spark plugs out at weekend only to find them covered in oil (rocker cover i believe ) But they seemed new as once they were cleaned,and once i put back in the light didnt go off as i thought it would.Im thinking it could be the MAF as a lot of ppl are saying.
