General back in the room...

Disgusted, Mrs Disgusted & Rocky the very angry Jack Russell (type) are back from holiday.

4 weeks and 5 days in Devon (under canvas) and Cornwall (Gypsy caravan).

The Loser Cruiser has performed faultlessly. 1200 miles of very varied driving. 38.7mpg shown on the dashboard (probably equates to about 41 real mpg).

Car is still filled with a mountain of stuff and needs a serious clean...

Sounds a great trip. Just came back this weekend from a long run as well. The first since purchasing the vehicle. Nothing like a few days in Wales to accustom myself to the size of the Multipla.

I stuck to about 60-70mph and avoided motorways. Managed a healthy 41.8mpg. That was with 2 people and minimal luggage. I took out all the rear seats to save weight. About 450ish miles.

Found out road noise really does increase without chairs. Might have to look into some sound deadening. I can hear a light whistle which increases with engine revs, which I presume to be the turbo. We found a slide out drawer under the passenger seat!
Water bottles do not like to stay in the middle front seat if you go too quickly round corners.. The sunroofs are better when its cloudy not to cook the top of our heads. The air con really does need regassing!

My foot gets stuck sometimes on the clutch :/

Hope you had a great trip, and I too need to clean the seagull crap off the top of the car!

Thanks :) Those blinds are permanently across as you are spot on. The temperature inside is much cooler with these drawn.

Forgot to mention, I traversed two fjords in the car while following tomtom. The biggest of which was outside of St Davids Castle in Wales. I really enjoyed the looks as I drove through that by all the tourists. Thankfully, not very deep with good ramps either side.

"Does that mean the Loser Cruiser has a stay of execution? IIRC, Mrs D had expressed a desire for change?"

No WM'dF,

It was me that wanted to get rid of it 18 months ago. No better reason that I thought that we needed something newer by way of "driveway candy". How shallow I am.

I have to say that the Multi is seriously sensible car. Mrs Disgusted is smitten with it. Strange, she being petite and pretty and the Multi being large and ugly - but she keeps me too and I am similarly arranged...
