What would you actually gain from it? Being able to save 0.00238 seconds per gear change possibly???

Dont think its worth it on a punto tbh.

lexus lights...erm no

yer think im ganna stick with stock and remove the lift up reverse and may be shorten the shaft a bit

I have a b+m on my uno turbo and it works well, very notchy and precise combined with my homemade rosejointed gearlinks has eradicated any sloppyness even the misses likes it, they are overpriced so a few other ut owners just modify their original gearlever with a hacksaw i paid £20 of ebay Ant!

They're a well made piece of kit, so you pay for the quality.

Reduces the throw by around 1/2 in the mk2's.

I loved mine when I ran it but paid £100 and probably wouldn't pay that again (look for second hand ones).

They're easy to fit. Mine in the HGT:

Obviously worth it in a car like yours though

Still fun in a standard car too. I had it in my 8v before any engine work was done, just makes it a bit of a novelty when changing gears. Personally I don't think changes are any faster with one, they just feel more precise.

Just get yourself A very big angle grinder and some superglue...

Joking by the way. Someone might actually use my idea..

Reducing the shifter length reduces the throw, but not as much as moving the pivot point (which is what the B&M does).
