Hi,
Hope somebody can help.
I've got a Marea Weekend 105 JTD (1999) and it's got this small problem with the auxilary drive belt.
I had it replaced Feburary when the cam belt was done as it was starting to squeal a little at higher revs. Problem sorted for a while. Then the squeal returned and after a couple of months the belt "jumped" a notch on the pully wheels and merrily shreaded on the two journeys I had to make before I could give it back to the garage. They changed it and the drive pully in which the rubber had gone supposedly causing the problems.
Well "hear" I am again with a squeeling drive belt and I'm loathed to take it back to the garage for another massive bill so was planning to change this one myself and have a good poke about at all of the pully wheels while I was at it. For those intereseted it squeals afer a mile or so when it as warmed up a little and then constantly at anything above 1500 rpm. Also nasty rubber smell in the car when stationary.
Anyway I was wondering if anybody had a servicing manual that includes the JTD and could look and see if it had useful information for changing the drive belt before I went and bought one (I know that I will probably need one eventually but there is not point getting one if the information is not good for this job).
Many thanks
