Hi,

I have just recently got a fiat 500 2009 pop.

In my car it doesn't have an aux cable. I have been looking at some threads on here but I am unable to find any which shows me how to install an aux cable. I have brought the below from eBay (which I will be getting tomorrow).

ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAT-500-2007-ONWARD-AUX-IN-INPUT-ADAPTER-IPOD-MP3-3-5MM-JACK-FREE-RADIO-KEYS-/281389400926?txnId=1408530754018

Any help will be nice :)

Read this thread.

Basically you take out the head unit (using the keys that came with the cable), plug the cable into the back, plug the other end into the headphone socket on your device, and use the head unit's "AUX" input to play your music.

Whether it works would appear to depend upon the specific model of head unit fitted to your car. You need both an AUX input socket on the back of the head unit, and the ability to select "AUX" as an input channel through the menu system. You might need to hack the cable &/or the connector.

The folks that have got this working appear mostly to be folks with older 500's without Blue&Me, so you're in with a good chance.

I'm ordering one of these later this evening. Hope it works for you!

You'll need to pull the headunit out, fit that into the back then run it out through the dash/glovebox somehow. You might need a second cable that'll split an standard cable into red/white. Depends what you have laying around!

Hi,

I have received the cable today and it works :). I ended up taking off the air control dashboard and feeding the wire though one of the spare controls. (I have attached a picture)

Thanks

Ah, I'm super glad it works! Let's hope mine does too! :D

That's quite a clever place to do it! Thanks! :)

Hi, was there any other place you could see to feed the cable through? I was hoping to feed mine through into the little side pocket next to the drivers seat...
