Technical automatic headlights

my new stalks have the automatic headlights function on them, if i got a sensor will the wires be there to make it work plug n play, or plug fes n play?

where is the sensor on a croma?

Firstly, have you checked it isn't already working? I'm wondering if (guessing) it might use the same red-coloured sensor on the top of the dash that the climate control uses.

I know this sounds mad, but on some previous model SEATs and VW/Audis you could add cruise control by fitting the stalk that had the buttons. Everything else was built in as standard, you just needed to add the button to tell it to do it.

Edit: Another thought - if you had a photo of the scrapped car, did it have the automatic wipers? I'm wondering if it was built into the mirror unit that contains the sensor for the wipers. You can see a black blob on the windscreen where the rear view mirror is.

it doesn't seem to be working as it is, the manual also says there will be adjustments in the set up menu, i checked that and there is no setting.

On the Bravo the sensor is at the top of the windscreen along with the rain sensor.

does the Croma have similar ?

they have rain sensor there, mine dont have a rain sensor though

Sounds like you need the fancy mirror then. Fancy asking Mr nice friendly scrapyard owner for it?

I think it also needs a different windscreen - it has some of the black border missing for the sensor to see through.
