Tuning Auto Grass Cinq Engine Blueprinted

Hi Guys

After all the great feedback i got, i found out that i am able to BLUEPRINT the engine returning it back to the manufacturers secifications.

I have seen a class 1 cinq run at the weekend and it reallys adds some OOMMPPPHHH


anyone have an idea of how much this may cost and any recommendatiosn for people around lancashire and manchester that do it

Blueprinting can be very expensive, it depends on how far you want to go.

Years ago when we were blueprinting production saloon engines we had to buy about 5 sets of pistons to get four the same weight.

Surely that is why you balance them yourself? We always do ours to within 0.1 of a gram of each other.

Nope, in production saloons no machining of pistons was allowed. They had to be standard, as manufactured.

How much extra power/performance do you really get from blueprinting a modern engine, are we talking 5%? 10%? 50%?

Could be quite a lot if we are talking about a 12 year old engine thats not had an easy life.

even modern engines would get a lot from it... mass production and cheapo materials used are not perfect. and even then they are not designed to have a massively long life.
